Elderberry is widely known as an immune booster, as well as reducing the duration of cold and flu symptoms, relieves UTIs, combats sinus infections, eases allergies, encourages healthy skin, has anti-carcinogenic properties and may promote heart health.  
 
It is a powerhouse for sure!  I have been using it with my family and kids for over 20 years, now I grow my own.  It is important to me to have pure products.  
 
A tincture is preserved in alcohol, I use Rain which is a clean vodka.  The alcohol is the solvent, it extracts the healing properties of the plant (elderberries here) as well as preserves it.  Tinctures are simple and old fashioned and I love using them! 
 
I make 1 and 2 oz bottles.  Here is how I use them, please listen to your body.  I take a dropperful a day for prevention and if sick I take up to a dropperful each hour.  If you give to your kids, boil it in tea so the alcohol evaporates. Give them less of course!
